The graph gives information about the changes in expenditure for fresh fruits and vegetables, consumer-price index, sugar and sweets and carbonated drinks from 1979 to 2009.

In general, the four categories started at the same point with little differences and rose over the period shown, but the figures for fresh fruits and vegetables were significantly higher.
For instance, in 1999, their initial points were at approximately 60. They both increased steadily to 1989 except for fresh fruits and vegetables, and sugar and sweets fluctuated between 1981 and 1985. From 1989, the number of prices changed differently. While consumer-price index, sugar and sweets, carbonated drinks rose gradually with just under 15, the figures for fresh fruits and vegetables rocketed at nearly 100 every year.
By 2009, carbonated drinks placed bottom of the chart, with the figures stood at 153, sugar and sweets reached 200. Fresh fruits and vegetables with consumer-price index witnessed a slight decline, at 203 and 320 respectively.
