On the one hand, students can benefit from living with families. They are carefully taken care of when they are sick, and the greatest thing is they do not need to worry about housework, because their parents do the laundry, clean the floor and cook for them. Therefore, they have more time to focus on their university studies. Otherwise, living away also has a lot of benefits, especially some skills need for their future such as self-care skills, housekeeping skills and self-discipline will be developed. Moreover, they will be more and more independent everytime they have to do something themselves. Hence, when they finish their studies, they do not have to depend on anybody since they have for themselves the skills and independence.

On the other hand, both living with family and living away have several drawbacks. First, students do not have much privacy when they live in either a nuclear or an extended family. Sometimes, they can be disturbed by their naughty brothers or sisters. Furthermore, it will cost lots of money to use the public transport to go to college once their houses are far away. Regarding living alone, students have to face the loneliness. When they need someone to confide their problems to, there are not friends or relatives beside them. What is more, they cannot get help from anybody once some unexpected issues are out of control. For instance, if their flats are broken into, women will have difficulty in catching the thief and calling the police.

Doubtlessly, students do not spend time on housework but their private rights could be disrespected whe living with family. Living independently gives them skills which are good for future but loneliness.
