People say that reading for pleasure helps people develop imagination and better language skills than watch TV. Agree or disagree?

These days, an increasing number of people concerned that reading for pleasure to develop imagination and language skills is better than watching tv. I totally agree with this argument.

On the one hand, I agree that pleasure reading helps improve thinking capability and language skills. First of all, most of books contain little illustration, they deliver writers’ idea through words and phrases. As a result, readers have to use their imagination to create a fantasy world. For example, in my childhood, I was used to read Harry potter, then I put me into the story and imagined that I could do something magical. Moreover, reading increases people’s exposure to language. It is clear that there are many books of different language in book disposal stores that experience draconian censorship before giving to readers, their words are more fomal and proper. Therefore, it is certainly true that creativity and language skills are improved by reading.

On the other hand, although people would also learn much through watching tv, imagination and language skills are collected less than reading. Firstly, television ussually shows vivid images and visual effects which make viewers absorb information passively, so they accidentally lose sense of creativity. Additionally, the language on tv is mostly spoken language which is not filtered carefully. For instance, nowadays, game shows where people could speak anything they think and they regularly forget controlling their ungrammatical and incorrect words. All in all, it is clear that watching tv to improve thinking ability and language skills is not as good as reading.

In concluding, although it is certainly true that tv also has its own benefits to people’s mental development, reading is better to increase creativity and language aspect. I hope people spend more time on reading, only by which can people become knowledgeable.

reading books is a good activity, you shouldn't use the word concern

"these days " at the present so you need to use concern , not concerned

i put myself instead of i put me

usually

in conclusion not in concluding

in spite of these errors, i think the essay is quite clear.
