Topic: Some countries have an ever-increasing proportion of population who are aged 15 and younger. What is your opinion of the current and future effects it may have in those countries?
In many countries, there has been a rapid growth in the percentage of youngsters who are under 15. In my opinion, this might exert both positive and negative effects on the progress of a nation. The purpose of this essay is to emphasize the current and upcoming consequences of this phenomenon.
On the one hand, young generation has a vital role in the development of their country. To be specific, the youths are energetic, agile, creative and thus they have good abilities to adapt to every situations occurs in life, always try their best to come of with new ideas which can solve the problems. For example, the majority of young people are expected to learn skills related to science, art, technology as well as sports. As a result, the country will educate a massive number of talented people, who always ready for contributing their own intelligences and strengths to the advance of a nation.
On the other hand, a large number of teenagers can pose some drawbacks to the society. Since young generation has a tendency to develop their own interests and attitudes rather than following the conventional one. For this reason, many heritages involved in cultures may lose its values and are likely to be underrated. This can also lead to generation gap, which is responsible for isolating people from both family and society, those between two different age groups. In addition, as the expansion of population may even causes some environmental issues and the lack of job opportunities, these problems can do harm to the well - being of a country in the near future.
In conclusion, I personally think that the fast increase of young population has both pros and cons in the nation's development so the government should take this into consideration.
