It is more important for schoolchildren to learn about local history than word history. To what extent to you agree or disagree ?

There is discussion on going these days regarding the teaching of local history in schools. Some people suppose that more time should be spent increasing a student's knowledge of local history instead of learning about world history. Personally, i strongly agree with this statement for a number of reasons.

On the one hand, the advantage of national history clearly true. Firstly, world history provides a well - rounded perspectives of life. Children can explain  some events in the world as well as interaction between countries and inside nation itself. For instance, children can know where the black friday came from and when did it start ? . In addition, having worldwide history is a simple condition to possess a golden selling point to work for a foreign enterprise especially these countries which appreciate valuable culture such as Japan.

On the other hand, from my standpoint, local history is actually important on the process of growing up of children. To start with, local history can brings patriotism and pride. They can understand what ancestors did in the past to develop their country to what it is today. Therefore, they wil pay tribute to their forefathers abd have some acts to honor them.  For example, VietNamese hell pay tribute  to the Kings who established Viet Nam in beginning. Moreover, local history  helps children learn about lots of valuable traditions hence they can continue preserving this customs for after generation. For instance, On lunar new year, VietNamese people often have rice cakes on these days. It is a beautiful tradition.

In conclusion, although world history have many benefits i would convince local history stil brings more precious lessons for children. So, schoolchildren should have local history in student's curriculum.
