Essay topics: The Graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

 

The given line graph demonstrates the changing patterns in average carbon dioxide emissions person in 4 countries in Europe over the course of 40 years starting in 1967.

Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that the amount of CO2 in Italy and Portugal increased while this number in the UK and Sweden decreased. Throughout the period, the CO2 in UK registered the highest figures out of for countries examined.

In 1967, the rate of CO2 in the UK stood at about 11 tonnes, this figure nearly unchanged before dropping to approximately 9 tonnes by 2007. However, the amount of CO2 in Sweden rose quickly to reach a peak of over 10 tonnes in 1997 from roughly 9 tonnes in 1967, which was followed by a remarkable decrease of nearly 5 tonnes at the end of period.

At the beginning of period, the average amount of CO2 in Italy registered over 4 tonnes, this figure witnessed a progressive rise to nearly 8 tonnes between 1967 and 1997 and then maintained at 8 tonnes at the end of period. The rate of CO2 in Portugal showed a similar development, where it went up from 1 tonnes to 5 tonnes from 1967 to 1997 before stabilizing at about 5 tonnes afterwards.

Đoạn 1:

+) Để đảm bảo tính formality thì mình nghĩ thay vì viết "4 countries" thì "four countries" sẽ hợp hơn đó.

Đoạn 2: thay vì đơn giản là increased hay decreased thì bạn có thể nêu lên mức độ của sự tăng giảm (tremendously hay gradually). Và nếu đã có it is obvious thì không nên dùng immediately.

Mình notice là cậu bị lạm dụng at the beginning và at the end of period nhiều quá. Trong khi đó, mình có thể paraphrase bằng những từ ngữ súc tích hơn như originally, initially hoặc đổi bằng on the outset.

Đoạn 3 và 4: khá ổn về mặt ngữ nghĩa nhưng ngữ pháp có phần thiếu liên kết. Nhất là câu:

"At the beginning of period, the average amount of CO2 in Italy registered over 4 tonnes, this figure witnessed a progressive rise to nearly 8 tonnes between 1967 and 1997..."

câu này chủ ngữ là the average amount hay là this figure? Ý cậu chưa rõ. Nếu sửa thì sẽ là "At the beginning of period, the average amount of CO2 in Italy was rational; however, this figure witnessed a progressive rise from 4 tonnes to nearly 8 tonnes between 1967 and 1997 ..."

Nhìn chung bài cậu bố cục khá mạch lạc ý diễn đạt dễ hiểu tuy nhiên có một số vấn đề như vocab hay grammar thì chỉ cần cải thiện tí xíu thôi. Mình cũng là đứa học bình thường như cân đường hộp sữa nên có j sai sót mong cậu bỏ qua ^^
