The table shows percentages of consumer expenditure for 3 categories in five countries: Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002.

Overall, the proportion of consumer spending in each countries for food/drink/tobacco was the biggest expenditure. On the other hand, the the leisure/education was the lowest position in the table.

As is iilustrated, Turkey took the lead at the percentage of money used for food/drink/tobacco with 32,14% followed by Ireland with 28,91% and other nation just under 20%. The proportion of money spending on leisure/ education was also the highest item in Turkey  with 4,35% while expenditure on clothing/ footwear was the largest number in Italy with  9%.

As is shown, Sweden had the lowest the rate of money used for food/drink/tobacco and clothing/footwear with 15,75% and 5.40% respectively and the leisure/ education items, Sweden stood in second positon with 3.22%. On the constrast, Spain took the lowest posion with 1.98%.
