Some people believe that it is necessary/essential that foreigners follow the local customs and traditions of the host country when they come to reside there. Personally, I completely agree with this view.

In my opinion, new residents will be able to encounter a range of disadvantages if they don’t adapt to the culture of the country where they are living. Firstly, if they are companies which conduct international business actions, having an awareness of the local culture and legal environment of foreign nations is the top priority for all of them. This has an important effect on earning more profits to become successful businesses. Secondly, in some cases, newcomers can become convicted peoples if they don't respect or merely have lack of knowledge of the lifestyle of local citizens. For example, in Singapore, some actions can be considered impolite and very dirty such as: through away wastes or chewing gums in public areas.

On the other hand, there are also strong benefits for people who start to live in a new country if they follow the local customs and traditions. The first advantage is that local people will be more welcoming when they feel that the new residents are showing respect for the local way of life. Moreover, the new foreigners will be linked with more others, creating more relationships with new friends. Another benefit is that the richness of experience which they will gain from ẹnjoying aspects of the customs and traditions of the host nation, enabling them to take part in community life and avoid social isolation. Especially, newcomers will feel like this country is their hometown.

In conclusion, I would argue that all new residents should keep the traditions and habits of local in the host community in order to integrate fully into society.
