The diagrams illustrate the process of the development of the salmon during its life cycle.

It is clear that there are 3 distinct stages in the process. It begins with salmon eggs and then their journey to the sea. Finally, the life cycle ends with mature salmons.

In the first stage of the process, the female salmons move slowly to the upper river to lays their eggs under the range of reeds and small rocks. After five to six months the fish eggs hatch. Then the little fry which is 3-8 cm long appears and start their journey to the lower river. Over the period of 4 years, the fry is bigger and becomes the young salmons or the molt. In the space of five years , they continue to grow in size while flowing  into the open sea and reach full maturity. When it becomes a mature salmon, its tail and body are fully developed. The cycle will then continue again.

lower river- downstream of the river.

open sea- oceans.

Câu " In the space of five years, they continue to grow in size while flowing into the open sea and reach full maturity." bạn diễn tả khó hiểu quá.
