The pie charts illustrates the percentage of money which the average family spent on restaurant from 1970 to 2000. Overall, the budget of average family spent on restaurant meals has dramatically increased over the past 30 years. Just 10% and 15% food budget were spent on restaurant meals in 1970 and 1980 respectively. However, that percentage more than doubled in 1990, to 35%, and continued to raise in 2000 in 50%.

In mean time, the graph shows the change of where families eat their restaurant meals duing the same period(1970-2000). In 1970, fast food restaurant and sit down restaurant shows the same number of meals has been eaten. In 1980, the sit-down restaurants serves slightly more meals than do the fast food restaurants.Since 1990, the food eaten at fast food restaurants more frequently than those at sit down restaurant. Most of the number of meals have been served at fast food restaurant in 2000. If this partern continues, eventually, the number of fast food restaurant could no doubtly doubled the number meals of sit-down restaurant.
