Living in big cities has a negative effect on people’s health. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a common belief that citizens in large cities have been deal with many health problems. I am completely agree that lifestyle of those who are in the cosmopolis adversely influences in their health.

On the one hand, it is true that residents who are in industrial cities tend to increase in risk of physical health problems. Firstly, those areas are likely to cope with environmental issues because of industrial activities. My argument can easily understand by reading some articles on the Internet on a daily basis that one of the large cities in China, Beijing, is dealing with air pollution, which causes a wide range of diseases for Chinese population. Secondly, people in large cities would be busy with a mountain of work that finds difficult to have a good meal. As a result, they tend to select fast food as a reasonable way to adapt to the life. By digesting those kind of food, what they might be able to receive in the future is overweight or heart diseases.

On the other hand, mental health would be problematic for those living in cosmopolitan cities. There is no doubt that today, people in big cities have to address a huge number of work, which puts them under depression. Therefore, residents are likely to suffer from stress, which negatively influences on their spirit. A typical example is that in Japan, a nation with many mega cities, the number of Japanese people is remarkably rise in yoga classes in order to make a balance between work and life. Moreover, the cost of living in large cities is growth year by year while the income of employees tend to maintain because the world has been witnessed an economic crisis. Thus, financial issues seem to affect to citizens.

In conclusion, I totally agree with the notion that residents’ health can be seriously affected by the large cities where they are living.

Mình nghĩ dạng To what extent do you agree or disagree? thì phải viết theo kiểu vừa có ý đồng tình vừa có ý phản đối, chứ không nên đồng ý hoàn toàn chứ phần mở đầu, đoạn kết cũng phải khẳng định lại cái ý mình đồng tình và phản đối, như kiểu 1 vấn đề nhưng sẽ có 2 mặt đó bạn. Đọc bài bạn viết mình thấy hợp với dạng do you agree or disagree hơn là dạng to what extend do you agree or disagree.

"To what extent do you agree or disagree ?" là câu hỏi phổ biến trong task 2. Với đề bài dạng này, câu "specific statement" trong phần Intro của bạn sẽ thế nào? Có 3 cách để bạn chọn:

1. I totally agree with this opinion [good and safe choice]
2. I totally agree that teachers should be replaced with computers [better as there is a fuller sentence]
3. I totally agree that teachers should

be replaced with computers because they are cheaper and more convenient for students (best because it gives the examiner a clear idea of what the essay is about. Paragraph 2 should be about cheaper, and paragraph 3 should be about being more convenient)

Mình thì luôn khuyên các bạn nên theo cách 1, đơn giản mà an toàn
