Cheap airline encourages people to travel, however it affects the environment problems so the cost should be increased to discourage people to travel. Discuss both views and give your opinion?

It is true that cheap air travel brings populace numerous benefits. While a number of people believe that the air travel should be more expensive in order to restricted people from traveling by air as it will cause environmental problems, I would argue that this doing is unrealistic.

On the one hand, there are a variety of reasons why low-budget flights could be greatly stimulated. First of all, cheap air flight enables long-distance travel affordable for ordinary people. Therefore, there are more tourists take air planes to other countries, the more people have opportunities to understand deeply from different cultures. In other words, it would promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding. In addition to this, more visitors from other countries would encourage local tourism, which could increase tax revenues especially in those tourism-focused countries. As a result, governments would have more disposable funds to invest into basic fields, such as education, health insurance and infracture.

On the other hand, it is undeniable that air-tranportation makes a lot of problems for environment. Basically, airplanes consume a vast amount of oil and the gas emission generated by an airplane is enormous. This cause grievous air pollution and exhaustion of natural resources. If cheap air tickets are not carefully controlled, the environmental impacts would only get worse in the long run. However, the increase of air-fares to restrict travel are not appropriate. Because I believe even if they do not travel by air, they would also travel by other vehicles. So air pollution is not the matter of what kind of transform they use.

In conclusion, it seems to me that lifting up the costs of air travel to reduce the impact on the environment is unreasonable. We need to admit that air travel, indeed, brings a great number of benefits to human being and need to find another effective solution.
