These days an increasing number of people decide to follow veganism for various reasons including to have a healthy body or even to benefit the world. In my opinion, I strongly agree with this idea, despite the fact that it might be up to individual preferences.
To begin with, having a diet without meat or fish is definitely benefitial for our physical well-being. In terms of nutrition, unlike the old-fashioned view, vegetables and fruits are sufficient in providing vital nutrients such as proteins, vitamins or fibre. For instance, broccoli is proved to have positive impact on our cardiovascular system due to some special kinds of protein contained in it. In addition, different kinds of fruit can give us various types of significant vitamin ranging from A to E, in this way, we would suffer a lot of terrible diseases if there were no vegetables or fruits to eat for a long time.
Furthermore, the cattle and fishing industry recently has been the main causing factor of many severe issues in a global scale. The carbon diocide emitted from cattle and poulty contributes a great proportion out of the whole amount ,which causes what we call “ global warming”. Another serious problem taking root from this kind of industry relates to the lack of natural habitats. As we know, livestock farming requires a considerably large area. Therefore, in many countries, people had to devastate thousands of hectares of forests to make room for farms. Consequently, the diversity of animals in those areas dramatically decreased and many species were drived to the verse of extinction. In other words, It comes surprising that we can really help better the world in many aspects by simply eating no meat or fish.
In conclusions, adopting a meat-free diet does not only help us keep fit but also saves our living environment . I will try being a vegetarian in a regular basis and persuade my friends to do the same. As the saying goes “ a small cause can have a large effect” , this healthy routine can bring us a better future indeed.
