Question

Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.


The government is thought to be responsible for the development of the country. Thus many governments believe that economic progress is their ultimate goal. However i agree that other progress such as healthcare, environment and education are equally important and necessary for a country.

On the one hand, economic progress plays an important part in the development of a nation. Many countries have invested lots of money in economic. It is the fact that if the economic of a country grows, there will be more job opportunities, people's income will be improved, business and industry problems will be solved.The governments will have enough money to improve other progress like healthcare, education and environment reservation.

On the other hand, economic progress is not the main goal. Government should ensure that other types of progress develop equally. Spending to much resources on the economic will make the country unstable. The economic will not develop if the social condition is not ensured. Foreign company will not invest for a country if there are no educated workers and poor resources.

In conclusion, it is clear that economic growth is an important goal of the governments but other progress are equally important for the development of a country.
