TASK 2 – Opinion essay

In order to study at university students are required to pay expensive tuition fees. Not all students can afford them so some people think that university education should be free for everyone.

 

To what extend do you agree?

Paying expensive tuition fees is a requirement to study at university but not all students have enough capacity to match it. Hence, it has a thought that higher education ought to free for everyone. In my opinion, I agree with that.

One of human rights is a right to study. Free tuition fee is to bring equal rights to everyone, who wants to level up their knowledge, no matter what they are rich or poor. High university program fees is not a problem with rich people since their finance is strong enough to support their children to get education, even to study abroad while it is a heavy mission to the poor families who are struggling with their daily earning. To having finance support, university gates is more widen to students who are not able to afford high tuition fees. At that time, everyone is equal to get a higher education. Hence, it ought to free tuition fees.

Learners release their stress on finance and more focus on study. Learning at universities, students should pay not only tuition fees but also having another costs such as document cost, housing cost, living cost, entertainment cost, etc.. Without university scholarships, students have a way to survival and keep up their study, is to work part time hardly. Consequence of working part time is having a bad result on final courses, worst never graduate on time since they spend more time on working then studying. Therefore, supporting on tuition fee is necessary, especially in high academic level.

Conclusion, waiving tuition fees, which bring many benefits for poor students, is a necessary thing.
