It can not be denied that the fierce competition in the job market between older people and their younger counterparts has become an increasingly widespread concern. The following essay will address some of the most serious problems brought about by this conflict and some measures are recommended in order to tackle these issues.

To begin with, there are two main issues caused by the widespread competition in workplace between the young and old people. First of all, it is clear that many enterprises have faced with the age discrimination within their labour force. The reason for this stems from the fact that older people are likely to have more difficulties in finding  jobs when compared to the young. As a result, the boundaries of age in a company may expand significantly because of the imbalance of age in the work force. In addition, it is clear that young employees are more easily adapt to work practices, especially technology technique, than the old ones. This may causes their older counterparts be put under strong pressure and probably get some physical as well as psychological problems, namely heart disease and depression.

To deal with those issues, the two following solutions are highly recommended. First and foremost, enterprises should organised more teambuilding activities to link their staffs' feeling. Therefore, employees from all ages can have great opportunities to understand and help each other instead of competing day by day. Moreover, an increasing training courses about technology should be provided for old people to gain confidence and improve their performance.

In conclusion, the increased rivalry between two generations can cause serious issues if those are not well-managed. Old employees should learn to enhance their work skills to meet the job requirements.
