Question

Nowadays, more and more people decide to have children later in their life. What are the reasons? Do advantages of this outweigh disadvantages?

Changing along with the life’s changes, people have trend to change their mind to have children later after getting marriage. This issue brings not only benefits but drawbacks to our life. This essay will explain why the issue have emerged, and some results it is bringing.

Firstly, about the reasons why parents have children later in their life; it can be seen that most people tend to spend the youth for earning money instead of giving birth. Moreover, the young generation who almost has passion on mobile life not the stable one. It is clear that when someone has children early, it take a lot of time to look after their children, along with their work, they become busier.

Secondly, when people give birth later, it means that the population of this country would not be increased or increasing very slowly. The small number of population is the good news for some aspects like environment and traffic. However, this issue also makes the government get a lot of difficulties in tackling the problem of ageing population. Thailand is an explicit example in solving that problem when the government must issues the new policy which allows the older to continue working instead of retirement at over 50 years old.  Furthermore, some new social issues occur require new policy of the Government such as social welfare, or negative effect on economy.

In conclusion, giving birth later may bring our world a lot of benefits, especially for our environment; however, the drawbacks of this issue require the authorities to make suitable policies immediately.
