Answer:

Nowadays, more and more cities are constructed by the development of economy. Building large, impressive building is essential part of this process. Despite this truth, some people think that authorities should spend money wisely instead of focusing on constructing these sorts of building.

There is no doubt to say that a modern city must have some large, impressive buildings. These structures not only work as a symbol for the city but also develop tourism. For example, I have been in Tokyo for a short time, but I was very impressed with the Tokyo Sky Tree tower. It is a highest building in Tokyo. When I got in the top of the tower, I could see entire Tokyo city in my eyes. It was a wonderful experience. There are the mass of tourists visiting Tokyo Sky Tree every day which definitely contributes to the growth of tourism.

Although I agree that large buildings are important to a city, I also think that authorities should not focusing too much on constructing these sorts of building. If there are too many impressive building, which one should be the iconic structure representing for the city. Improving schools and hospitals are good choices to invest money. Improving schools surely leads to raise the quality of workforce which is essential factor to ensure the success of developing economy. Heath care is also a basic demand of everyone. Improving hospitals can guarantee social welfare which help to maintain social and political stability and pave the way for developing economy.

In conclusion, I think that both views are relevant. While some large, impressive buildings for a city should be built, authorities should also spend money on improving health care systems and education. Both investments should be balanced because they all contribute to the development of the city.
