Whether people should compulsorily pursue full-time training from school throughout their first 18 years in life is regularly brought into discussion. I opine that both viewpoints have pros and cons; in other word, I partly agree with the opinion provided.
On the one hand, not only the students but also people around take several advantages form giving priority to education until 18. Firstly, students would develop comprehensively during the time of training at schools. Particularly, the curriculums in each level provided are prepared carefully to meet the demands of each growing stage in mental and physical health of students. Moreover, thanks to the compulsory education, there would be no extinctions among the students and their conditions. Secondly, parents find it convenient and trustworthy when they send their children to school everyday. While the adults have their own business to earn the living and are lack of time for caring children, training places are ideal to take responsibilities for them. Along with monitoring, the educators help the students build good manners and widen their knowledge.
On the other hands, there are still some drawbacks existing if people have to take compulsory education whole-time until they are 18 years old. Firstly, this kind of training would form a strict control over the receivers. For instant, 16-year-old people are recognized as matures under some legal systems; therefore, those have the rights to decide their life, especially whether continuing studying or not. In other word, this oppose to the mandatory full-time education that they have been offered. Secondly, a group of people who take whole-time education for granted would not appreciate their study opportunities. In addition, they would have negative attitudes toward their curriculum and, more seriously, behave against the teachers and classmates. Not to mention the result that those people would disturb other students who want to concentrate on their studying.
In conclusion, that full-time education is required until people get 18 is controversial due to its duality. However, most countries around the world have maintained their compulsory education system until high school despite existing disadvantages.
