The first pie chart illustrates the proportion of energy using for different gadgets in Australia, while the second pie chart shows and compares the amount of greenhouse emissions which is produced by various household items. It is clear that water heating, heating and other appliances consume the largest proportion of the energy, and they are also the primary reason contributing greatly to the amount of greenhouse emissions in Australia.

In terms of energy use, the percentage of energy for heating was highest, at 30%, while this number for water heating was lower, about 30% of total energy. Other appliances used approximately 15% of total household energy, compared to 7% energy for refrigeration. Meanwhile, this figure for cooling and light made up only 6% of total energy consumption.

With regard to the second pie chart, a major factor producing greenhouse emission was water heating, enjoying 32%, followed by other appliances, with 28% of greenhouse emissions production. This number for heating and refrigeration were similar, accounting for 15% and 14% respectively, while only 11 % of greenhouse emission was produced by cooling and lighting.
