Đề ngày16-5-2015: Some people think students should be encouraged to evaluate and criticize their teachers in order to improve the quality of education while others say this will lead to loss of respect for teachers.

Discuss both sides and give your opinion?

Answer:

It is true that, educational methods are always considered to finger out whether they can make the quality of studying better or not. Many people suppose that students should be controlled to evaluate and criticize their teachers, while I would argue that this should be encouraged.

On the one hand, there are some reasons why students should not assess and against teacher’s opinions. Main reason is that it is a time-consuming action which might reduce quality of class. Each class is planed carefully to allow teachers can know what and when they need do in certain time and avoid wasted time. For example, in a Math class, it is divided to 4 parts which are learning theories, working in a group to solving a task, giving the answer, and summarizing, respectively. Thus if some students evaluate or criticize their teacher, they will not enough time to accomplish all parts. As a result, teacher might feel unsatisfied about this action.

On the other hand, i believe that students should say what they think about what they learn because this may lead to a lot of benefits. Firstly, they can broaden their knowledge when they show their opinion. They cannot know whether it is right or wrong without talking to their teacher. If it is wrong, students can learn from this. Secondly, it allows teacher improve their teaching which boosts the quality of education. By know their strengths and weaknesses through students’ evaluating and criticizing, teacher can adjust educational program to suitable with learners.

In conclusion, although giving own opinions by students about what teacher said have both benefits and drawbacks, it seem to me that this should not be controlled.

It is true that, educational methods are always considered to finger out whether they can make the quality of studying better or not. Many people suppose that students should be controlled to evaluate and criticize (prohibited from evaluating and criticizing) their teachers, (when using while at the end of the sentence, don't use a comma) while I would argue that this should be encouraged.

On the one hand, there are some reasons why students should not assess and against teacher’s opinions. Main reason is that it is a time-consuming action which might reduce quality of class. Each class is planned carefully to allow teachers can know(allow sb to do sth) what and when they need to do in certain time and avoid wasted (avoid doing sth) time(this sentence is quite confusing, can you think of any other ways to express it?). For example, in a Math class, it is divided to 4 parts which are learning theories, working in a group to solving solve a task, giving the answer, and summarizing, respectively. Thus if some students evaluate or criticize their teacher, they will not have enough time to accomplish all parts. As a result, the teacher might feel unsatisfied about this action.

On the other hand, i believe that students should say what they think about what they learn because this may lead to a lot of benefits. Firstly, they can broaden their knowledge when they show their opinion. They cannot know whether it is right or wrong without talking to their teacher. If it is wrong, students can learn from this. Secondly, it allows teacher to improve their teaching which boosts the quality of education. By knowing their strengths and weaknesses through students’ evaluating and criticizing, teacher can adjust educational program to suitable with learners.

In conclusion, although giving own opinions by students student's own opinions about what teacher said have both benefits and drawbacks, it seems to me that this should not be controlled.

Encouraging students to assess their teachers has become a subject of debate with strong arguments for and against. in this essay, both sides of the argument will be analyzed before a conclusion is reached.

On the one hand, some people argue that students should not have the right to freely criticize their teacher's ability. It is said that students might give subjective assessment, which often lead to wrong viewpoints on teacher's capacity just because of their emotional evaluation. For example, some whole-hearted qualified lecturers, i many cases, will receive negative feedbacks because of their strictness. Additionally, the evaluation process sometimes can potentially used as a tool for students who are given low marks to revenge their teachers. When looking at these example, it is reasonable to restrict student's freedom of assessment.

On the other hand, other people are in favor of supporting the evaluation on teacher's ability to improve educational quality. Firstly, scholarly individuals are for cases believed to express one-side opinions due to their deep and wide knowledge. Therefore, thanks to being assessed by students, their lessons could be more effective and objective. Secondly, Student's evaluation might help them adapt more appropriate methods, which depend on students ability. Not only following an efficient global learner-centered tendency, but lecturers also will contribute to a higher quality of their teaching.

In conclusion, it seems to me that although being criticized by students for several cases causes unright viewpoints on teachers and their ability, I believe that in general, student's assessment would enhance the quality of education.
