Topic: Today, high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold. What extend do you agree and disagree?

        It is undoutedly true that we are living in the world of consumerism. The producers manufacture products and the consumers buy these products everyday. Some people said that high sales of prevalent goods are the consequence of advertising and not meet the people's demand to use them. In my opinion, I strongly that advertising has the great impacts on the people's way of thinking and buying.

        Thank to the development of constant media exposure, it is easy for an advertisement stay in consumer's mind by repeating it again and again on Radio or Television. Therefore, when these people go shopping, they are imediately impressed by advertised products and choose it rightway. Some  which are not advertised on multimedia are not in their eyes. Moreover, the succeed of an advertisement are also made by images of celebrity who is representative for an product. People buy these goods not because of their demand for it. The reason is that they want to be the same like their idols, wear same clothes, shoes, necklaces and so on as those stars although these product are unnecessary and lavish.

      However, some people who are not very rich, they only have enough money to buy what they rally need in order to raise their family. They have to make a decision themselves whether a good is necessary or not.

      All things considered, I think almost goods are sold by their attractive advertisement in all over the world. So people should be more rational to judge a product whether they meed your needs or not before making a purchase.
