In Vietnam, there are 2 types of universities are public universities and private universities. They are similar about national university exams, studying time, while they are different about fee, student, lecturer and size.
Public universities and private universities have same ways to get students by a national university exam. It is organized in July every year. They will get students with possible highest scores. In addition they have same studying time with same department. For example, students much study 4 year to become economy bachelors, teacher and so on while other departments as doctor much study about 6 to 7 years, engineers study about 4.5 years.
Public universities and private universities have some several differences. Firstly, private universities are more expensive than public university by some reasons. Public universities are supported by government so students just give cheap fee, however public school don’t work with benefits, while private universities are built by persons or companies so they are not supported by government. In addition private universities are built to earn money. For these reasons private universities is more expensive than public universities.
Because public universities are often cheaper and better than private universities so students in Vietnam often want to learn in public universities, so students in public universities often more intelligent than students in private school. In addition, they have some differences. For example student of private universities often use slang than students in public universities, they also care love and fashion while students in public universities care studying than them.
About lecturer, Public universities often use lecturers of school while private universities often invite lecturers from other universities. So students of private universities can taught by better lecturers if their universities pay much money.
Final difference is that size of public universities often bigger than size of private universities because public universities are supported money and land from government. In the other hand public universities are older and more prestigious than private universities so numbers of student in public universities is more crowded.
Public universities and private universities are 2 type of university in Vietnam. Although they have many differences but they have same goals that improve national education, people, economy, and many other things in my country.
