Topic: Some people believe that people who read books can develop more imagination and language skills than those who prefer to watch TV. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
This is my essay as below:
It is sometimes argued that reading book can increase fancy and linguistic more than spending time on television. I completely agree with this idea.
On one hand, book has some essential benefits to improve the language and the creativity. Firstly, book contains a large of vocabulary bank which people can discover via these books that they have read. By reading book, they can expand their wording and touch into widely meaning of words to use in daily or their occupation. For instance, a word can be described by some different ways to express the multi meaning to readers. Secondly, these people will develop their language skills base on using flexible the meaning of words. For example, a variety of famous speakers always read book to gain their lexical resource so that they can present a matter with distinct methods. Finally, the imagination is being growed up during the reading process. Almost reader often pay attention to think about the suitation of the story more than find the meaning of vocabularies. It can be a usefull material to make great inventions or redesign orginal things.
On the other hand, watching TV has more drawbacks than benefits. It is sometimes waste time because of unusefull programs and watcher does not necessary to think much about these performing. A lot of channels focus to present informations, relaxations, or news without educate anything. Some people try to copy the behavior they see on the screen. TV cannot bring good challenges to increase people’s language and imagination.
In conclusion, I prefer to read books whenever people have time and do not spend much free time to watch TV. Book can bring some great chances about the development more than television.
