The bar chart illustrates data about how many people visited three museums, over a five-year period between 2000 and 2005.

Overall, what stands out from the chart  is that there were significant upward trends in the annual visitors of both MET of New York and National of China, while the number of visitors in Edo of Tokyo experienced a considerable fall over the period given. It is striking that National China was the most popular place in 2005, whereas Edo- Tokyo had fewer visitors than the others.

As can be seen from the bar chart, regarding MET in Tokyo, the figure for the number of visitors started at 12 millions in 2000, after which there was a  considerably halved decrease over the following years. After that it stabilized at 6 millions in 2 years before it dramatically went up to approximately 14 millions for the last year. If we look at the National of China , the trend was similar. Having stood at around 6 millions in the first year, the proportion of visitors then rose significantly , reaching nearly 11 millions in 2003, at this point, there was an almost constant levelling-off at 2004. There was then a gradual rise to about 16 million in 2005.

Nonetheless, the number of people who visited Edo-Tokyo went in the opposite direction. Remaining stable at over 12 millions for the first 2 years, it saw a sharp drop until 2003 at just above 6 millions.Thereafter, it  grew gradually again by 2 millions in the final year.
