The pie charts indicate different household average energy usage in Australia, while the other ones illustrate how much greenhouse gas is emitted from those activities. Overall, heating usage plays the main reason for energy consumption and gas emissions in Australian lifestyles.

From the chart, the use of energy for warm - up activities in Australian households account for the most energy consumption in total 72%, which is approximately 30% for water heating and 42% for daily heating in the house. In contrast, the activities of cooling and refrigeration are only played 2% and 7% respectively, which is the least energy wasting activity. The energy used for running other appliances and lighting the house only takes 15% and 4% respectively.

These following reasons are responsible for the general gas emissions discharging in Australia. Significantly, due to the high proportion of heating usage, they are the main reasons of gas emissions by 32% water heating and 15% other heating purposes. It can be seen that the other appliances usage also take 28% percentage of total gas emissions, while refrigeration only accounts for 14%. The least evaporating gas emissions reasons are cooling and lighting activities by only 3% and 8% respectively.
