Many people believe that the education system had better focus on teaching their students many core subjects, which will benefit their future career opportunities. Others argue that students should also be encouraged to learn non-academic lessons in the curriculum. In my opinion, both viewpoints are justifiable, but I personally lean on the latter.

On the one hand, including the academic subjects in the curriculum. The foremost reason is that the majority of people, who decide to attend school, is to be able to land easily a well-paid job after graduating. Therefore, the disciplines taught in education must provide them a wealth of knowledge for higher education as well as opportunities to enter the workforce as soon as possible.
On the other hand, the athletic and artistic fields should also be included in schooling. To begin with, these differences are one of the factors that each individual could make an impression on the companies to have a higher rate of employability. These fields cultivate a plethora of vital skills in reality, for instance, collaborative skills or creativity. In addition, several innate talents, who endowed with these fields, can be discovered earlier. If they are not trained as well as taken part in some competitions at the elementary or secondary level before having known what they have an aptitude for, they will have no chance to achieve their full potential.
In short, while concentrating on the academic subjects bring students numerous advantages for their career promotion, it can not be denied the benefits of non-academic lessons brought to them.
