It is true that the increasing amount of waste is considered one of the biggest concerns in many countries around the world. This problem has arisen due to various reasons which I will discuss in this essay along with some viable measures to tackle this bad situation.
On the one hand, there are two main factors contributing to the growing volume of trash at an alarming rate. The first and foremost reason is overpopulation which leads to overflowing garbage. It means that as the number of people grows, their demands for food and things also rise, so manufacturers produce more to fulfill the desire of society. Consequently, an increasing amount of household and industrial waste is produced through the production and consumption of goods. The second reason is that numerous non-biodegradable items such as plastic, poly bags that do not decompose in the environment for several hundred thousand years, and bottles are used. In fact, a lot of companies use a variety of disposable packaging materials such as plastic, polythene, and rubber to attract consumers. As a result, when we get more wrappers, more rubbish will generate from them.
On the other hand, several appropriate measures need to be taken to deal with this alarming threat. Firstly, governments should enact some strict laws to use biodegradable products as well, a huge penalty should be set for those who sell disposable products. This can leads to decrease in the usage of non-degradable products and the amount of waste. Finally, residents could change their habits by using more bio-degradable products or reusable containers and cotton handbags instead of using single-use plastic bags. For example, in Korea, many people are using personal bags instead of plastic bags to decrease garbage.
In conclusion, the production of rubbish is being overwhelmingly increasing in our world. This may be the result of several reasons, and some viable solutions should be taken to remedy this issue.
