The gap between the rich and the poor is becoming wider; the rich are becoming richer, and the poor are getting even poorer. What problems can the situation cause? What can be done to reduce this gap?

It is argued that the gulf between the rich and the poor is tremendously widened with the rich is getting richer and the poor getting poorer. The consequence of this is rising crime rates and this problem will be rectified if the educational courses for the unfortunate people are provided freely by the authority.
One of the most severe issues associated with income inequality is that increased crime rates. For instance, in the Covid pandemic, the affluent individuals not only easy access to progressive medical services but also relish extortionate different kinds of entertainment. By contrast, the underprivileged have to tackle excessive financial burdens since demands of basic needs accelerate day by day, especially in this challenging time. Thus, they are willing to do anything regardless of moral or legal issues including robberies, burglaries, or even murders. According to The Indian Express, despite the release of convicts on emergency parole and undertrials on temporary bail due to Covid-19, the prison population has surged to over 35,000.
To tackle the mentioned problem, from my point of view, the government had better conduct complimentary lectures for the disadvantaged. As a result, these unfortunate people are able to enhance various social knowledge as well as crucial employment skills Thus, this will give the underprivileged an opportunity to get decent work in order to improve their economic situations, which results in greater social stability. As claimed by the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth, education reduces actual violent and property crime.
In conclusion, owing to income inequality, rampant crimes become more prevalent. The government should offer free education curriculums for the poor.
