Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views and give your opinion below.
From time immemorial, education has always been considered one of the top priority issues and the guideline of plenty of nations around the world, therefore, the debates relating to it have been always controversial. While it is said that the best way to have a potential job is to study tertiary education, some people think that it better to get a job immediately after finishing the upper secondary school curriculum. From my perspective, I totally agree with the former and will give my reasons below:
First of all, it undeniable that getting a job without studying at university or college brings several outstanding benefits. Instead of entering a new school to go on your study, you can save a good deal of money which might be spent on investing to make a profit. The financial situation is usually a big problem with some families, particularly the poor ones as they cannot afford the huge tuition fees from becoming college students. Besides, it is not certain that after finishing university all of us will have a good job opportunity. In addition, going to work a few years early may help them gain much more social skills, valuable experience than those who still have to face up with examinations. When they make sense clearly of the high demands of labor and jobs, they can draw a better path for their twenties. On the other hand, without a bachelor’s degree, their job prospers are more narrow and they have to work extremely hard despite a meager salary.
Getting a job straight provide us with some undoubted advantages, however, in recent years, we have witnessed significant changes in science and technology that have become indispensable parts of most areas of the economy, therefore, I suppose society will require more than just secondary education’ s knowledge. Above all, studying in academic envinroments facilitates students to study methodically and get involved in necessary extra-curriculum activities that will help them not only lay a great foundation for their knowledge but also supply a variety of chances to gain experience. Moreover, when they enter university, they can take opportunities to expand their relationships with people who are high-flyers or knowledgeable. Last but not least, bachelor’ degree is considered a demonstration of competence which will give you better job opportunities and promotion at work.
In conclusion, I think getting a job immediately after finishing secondary curriculum has both its pros and cons, however, I believe that to pursue really successful career, it is essential for us to have bachelor’s degree and experience from an academic environment.
