Along with the development of technologies, the appearance of novelty learning styles in this day and age has sparked controversy over the potential impacts of this on learners. While it is believed by some people that e-learning holds several desirable features, others maintain argue that traditional classroom is far more beneficial. Though there are good arguments in favour of online learning, I am of opinion that school education is much better off.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that e-learning is designed to facilitate learners at their convenience. Firstly, flexibility is what distance-learning is all about. The main reason behind it is that students stand a chance of personalizing will be able to personalize their learning schedule at home; as a result, it is likely to reduce pressure on of studying such as attending extra classes. Instead, they can study at home in their spare time. Another benefit of online learning platforms is its accessibility for those with restricted mobility. In fact,e-learning grants students the opportunity to tap into a wider variety of courses but no need without having to move anywhere. To take disable people as an example, having online courses enables them to not only expand learning opportunities but also stay at home for healthy reasons.
On the other hand, traditional classroom is believed to still has some benefits that surpass online learning. To begin with, real face-to-face interaction with teachers and classmates has been singled out as one of the prominent merits of school education. Indeed, it is the discussion, the debates and the exchange of ideas that really count in order to learn best. A typical case in point is mathematics which is a difficult subject, that needs and thus requiring the direct guidance of teachers for students to thoroughly understand. Secondly, regular schooling has offered students to follow discipline to behave properly. As the matter of fact, strict schedule of school education force learners to be committed to their learning and preserved to finish a course.
In conclusion, while there is several plus points of distance learning regarding flextime schedule and learning opportunities, I hold a strong belief that normal education has greatly benefited people because of face-to-face communication and stringent rules. Moreover, online learning can still be a compliment rather than extra classes to help students better organize their schedule.
