Nowadays, some employers think that formal academic qualifications are more important than life experience or personal qualities when they look for new employees. Why is it the case? It a positive or negative development?

In this increasingly society competitive, academic degrees are considered to be more essential than hands-on experience by some employers when they seek new candidates. Are there are some underlying reasons, but I believe that this is totally a negative movement.

In this case, two main reasons explain why some recruiter prefer university qualifications to hands-on experience and practical skills when recruiting new employees . Firstly, in many professions, have a formal qualifications was recognised and evidence their knowledge and skills spent on learning education by employers. In order to be a doctor, for example, candidate have accquire a great deal of medical knowledge at university as well as conduct a lot of time on practicing. Secondly, this trend might be a great way to save time for employers recruiters. Compared to formal academic candidates who are likely ready to start working, employers may have to spend time training non-academic how to work properly. Therefore, this trend also save time for them to recruit and used in other valuable ways.

I think that is also a negative movemen and unfairly with academic and non-academic, their should be treated equal opportunities in the recruitment process. Many peoples have chosen to work instead of attend to university, helps them to gain practical skills and hands-on experience. On top of that, after working in a real work environment. They could a capable of doing most assigned tasks without a formail academic. The typical example can be seen in the case of Steve Job, founder of Microsoft, an expert and successful in technology industry without holding a formal academic in this field.

In nutshell, this trend is attributable to two sector reasons, and I believed this is a negative progress for above-mentioned arguments
