In the past, most people used to travel to their place of work. With increased use of computers, the internet and smart phones, more and more people are starting to work from home. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this development?

Nowadays, with the help of technology, more people enjoy working from home instead of going to their work destination like people used to do in the past. There are several advantages and disadvantages of this change

Firstly, working at home will help people to control their routine timetable better. Getting up late will not be a big problem as everything which is necessary for work is already at home. In addition, employees can sort out their time better to hang out with their friends and their family .Secondly., it can improve employees’ moods and make them feel happy and relaxed. This can lead to an increment in work efficiency. Also, employees will likely to devote much more efforts to their work.

However, there are still some drawbacks. Some irresponsible people will take this as a chance to play around all day rather than working hard. But they still receive as much money as hard-working people. This seems unfair for people who make a lot of efforts and spend more time on their projects. Besides, there are some occupations like workers, engineers, etc.. that can not work at home so it is still limited in some jobs. In some countries, people don’t have enough facilities to work at home so it can not apply widely throughout the world.

In conclusion, in some aspects, working at home is not really a bad idea because it can save a lot of time and money from traveling to work. But there will be more time needed to solve its problems. However, this type of work has a lot of potentials and it might be popular in the future.
