The diagram illustrates how milk is processed for retail purposes.

Overall, the production involves five main man-made stages, begins with cow grazing and ends with final products consumed.
At the beginning, cows graze the grass in the agricultural land in order to produce milk. Then, their milk is collected by a milking machine 2 times a day. Following this, the liquid is transported to industrial large storages for refrigeration. In the subsequent step, all the milk is delivered straight away by the specialized tankers to the Dairy factories, where it goes through some final treatments.
Add the dairy, milk is separated into two groups depends on its purpose. It is either pasteurized and packaged to become the beverage in supermarkets and shops’ selves or processed to transform into Dairy products such as cheese, cream and butter. Although there is two ways to produce, all of the items are then sold to the public.

I suppose that collected milk is refrigerated in the storage to wait for delivery, not being stored for refrieration.
