Some people assume that raising the minimum legal age of having a driving license is the optimal solution for enhancing highway safety. I disagree with this statement as I uphold the conviction that other feasible approaches are equally important and should be taken into account as well.

On the one hand, it is reasonable that increasing the minimum driving age could be a road safety feature due to some factors. Firstly, since adults are generally more mature and gain considerable life experiences when getting older, they can make wiser and quicker decisions for avoiding dangerous circumstances related to collisions superior to younger drivers. My father, for example, never use his phone during his driving because he perceives he would be easily distracted, which results in having himself a traffic accident. Secondly, raising the minimum driving age probably allows juveniles to devote more time to sharpen their driving discipline. They could engage in some defensive driving courses to learn how to confront different traffic scenarios, which could aid them in curtailing misfortunes while motoring when they are old enough.

On the other hand, I believe that there is a range of more efficient approaches for road safety, apart from increasing the minimum age for driving. The first measure worth mentioning is more rigorous traffic regulations should be employed since it serves as an integral role in preventing citizens from violating traffic laws. For instance, in Singapore, individuals running red lights are strictly punished; hence they would be more accountable to keep off the penalties. Furthermore, governments should consider the resources and budget allocation in an attempt to reform public transportations, which encourage citizens to reduce using private means of transport. Therefore, unfortunate incidents deriving from steering private carriers, such as drunk driving or falling asleep at the wheel, would no longer concern them.

In conclusion, although raising the minimum legal driving age could boost the security of traffic participants to a certain extent, I am firmly convinced that authorities should also take some methods, as mentioned above, for road safety.

Some people assume that raising the minimum legal age of havingto gain/have a driving license is the optimal solution for( enhancing) highway safety. I disagree with this statement as I uphold the conviction that other feasible approaches are equally important/are also of great importance (and should be taken into account as well.)

On the one hand, it is reasonable that increasing the minimum driving age could be a road safety feature due to some factors/for some compelling reasons. Firstly, since adults are generally more mature and gain considerable life experiences when getting older, they can make wiser and quicker decisions for avoiding dangerous circumstances related to collisions superior to younger drivers/which prevent them from dangerous....drivers (for used to mention purpose is repeated many times). My father, for example, never use his phone during his driving because he perceives he would be easily distracted, which results in having himself a traffic accident (shouldn't use personal example in ielts writing task 2 because it is not persuasive). Secondly, raising the minimum driving age probably allows juveniles to devote more time to sharpen their driving discipline. They could engage in some defensive driving courses to learn how to confront different traffic scenarios, which could aid them in curtailing misfortunes while motoring when they are old enough.

On the other hand, I believe that there is a range of more efficient approaches for road safety/to maintain road safety, apart from increasing the minimum age for driving. The first measure worth mentioning is more rigorous traffic regulations should be employed since it [serves as an integral role in preventing citizens from violating traffic laws]--> acts as a deterrent to violating traffic regulations/ deters citizens from breaking traffic law.

In conclusion, although raising the minimum legal driving age could boost the security of traffic participants to a certain extent, I am firmly convinced that authorities should also take/implement some methods, as mentioned above, for road safety.
