Topic Sport: Is the mental strength important for success in sports or is it more important to have strong and fit people in sports. Discuss both views and give opinion.

In today society, sports are gaining in popularity as a way to improve people’s health and organize competitions. Relating to this, it is believed that mental strength is significant for success in sports, while the others argue that fitness is more important than mental strength. From my own perspective, both mental and physical strength has their own roles to play and I will analyze both these views.

On the one hand, it is undoubtedly true that mental toughness contributes enormously to the sports achiements. One key benefit is that mental toughess is essentially a constellation of various mental skills, including unshakeable motivation, resilience, and the ability to perform well under pressure as well as manage their emotional and physical pain, which are play an important role in keeping practicing over days. This can lead to the outperformance their competitors. For example, to have a good sport match, most of sport players are often trained with their mental ability such as fair play, arousal control during sport matches.

On the other hand, in my own opinion, although sport players’ mental take impact on  their sport success, physical strength and fitness is somehow have huge impact on  success in sports compared to mrntal toughness. This is because physical power is somehow partly affected by either mental strength or not and it can alone show people’s ability to play sports. For example, most people are well-trained and have suitable meal for their body fitness before coming to train with their mental.

In conclusion, it is undeniable the fact that both mental and physical strength have been together improving the quality of every sport players as it can help them to success in sports.
