Studying abroad can be highly motivational for students and also inspire their dreams. However, whilst studying abroad can have a number of positive effects on students, there are also many difficulties that they may meet along the way. With this in mind, it is more advantages to study at home.
To what extend do you agree or disagree with this statement?
In the continuous advanced world like nowadays, the state of studying abroad is no longer unknown to people. Accompanied with its benefits like being a high motivation and inspiration for the students’ dreams, this issue has a deal of problematic drawbacks. It is supposed to be better to study at home rather than go to any developed countries and learn. However, every coin has two sides, in my standpoint, I am not all for this idea due to foreign studying’s advantages more than handicaps.
First and foremost, studying abroad helps widening major knowledge and learning many things from developed nations’ experiment more than the developing ones. The professors of the universities and colleges belonged to these countries always have a high level on the major we study. Thus, this is the sole way to internalize practical knowledge and practice based on things observed from the top experts. Besides, if any mistakes are made during the process of learning, those high standard teachers can help the students to fix them.
Secondly, the more time people spend studying oversea more than being at home, the more life skills they have and enhance. When living far away from the close relatives, the international ones can improve their social skills more and more which are very beneficial for the future job. Due to living independently from his family, a student is compulsory to pay off his expenses and better life skills such as communicating more sociably, learning how to do household chores and do cooking by himself, etc.
Nevertheless, some opponents can say that studying abroad means that having to face up to many tough things. Indeed, depending on people’s behavior, those are either good or bad signals. Adapting with new studying atmosphere in a strange country, getting used to its culture and lifestyle are unavoidable. If we know how to deal with these problems, as I said, those can be initial base to better ourselves and develop significant skills.
In the nutshell, studying oversea is a good opportunity for many international learners to get knowledge from where they go to study, not only major knowledge but also life skills. Nevertheless, this topic is a double – edged sword, together with its cons, it still has many cons. Rather than being at home and denying improving, in my point of view, it is better to trying to getting out of house and trying to learn from the outside world in order to perfect oneself.
