The three pie charts give an insight into the percentage of people from abroad visiting the US in different countries in three distinct years.

It is evident that Canada was by far the most visited country in every given year notwithstanding a considerable decrease in 1990 and 1992. The figure for China, however, witnessed a significant increase and Mexico saw a negligible fluctuation in the number of visitations during the given period.

In 1998, more than half of visitors to US was from Canada, whereas the percentage of Chinese tourists choosing US as a destination only stood at around 10%. From 1988 onwards, China experienced a surge in the percentage of people visiting US and peaked at 30% by the final year but did not surpass Canada, which suffered a substantial dip in terms of Canadians visiting US and accounted for 40% of visitors in 1992.

As for Mexico, the proportion of visitors to US from this region was a quarter in the first year, and then declined to a fifth in 1990 before increased to roughly a quarter in 1992. Lastly, other countries was only of a tiny fraction but also saw a decrease during the mentioned period
