Some people think that the government should pay one of the parents of very young children to stay at home to look after their children.
What do you think would be the advantages and disadvantages of this policy?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 word.

It is a fact that newborn babies or toddlers are incapable of taking care of themselves: obviously, parents are what they need the most. Therefore, the growing concern about this has been reached to the government by some people who want to make this become real, their opinion is to have policy that can support the parent staying at home and taking care of young children with some cash. This has both merits and demerits in certain ways.

On the one hand, it is surely beneficiary not only for the family but also for the society as well. From the individuals aspect, the supporting money will obviously give financial benefit for the family. Indeed, it decreases the financial burden of the breadwinner in the family. For instance, the father is less likely to work on the weekdays to earn extra money because his family already had the supporting money from the government. Plus, from the societal aspect, the potential of becoming good citizens in families that receive the money from the government will be higher than the others that do not. When people receive helps from someone, they will mostly consider it as a debt that need to be paid. Therefore, not only the parents but also the growing children would feel thankful for what the government did and eventually become useful citizens for their country.

On the other hand, there still have some potential risks in this considering policy. Firstly, the individuals who get the free money from the government may turn lazy and dependent on it. In fact, if someone keeps receiving something without paying, their mind will be affected badly with the selfishness of not doing anything useful for their country such as taking up a job. Next, the money keeps running out the government's pocket is also not a good idea. In case of an unexpected issue happening and requiring a big amount of money, could the government possibly deal with it with a budgetary constrain? Probably not because there is no money left to use anymore. Consequently, the government will be at high risk in term of lacking budget.

In conclusion, although the policy might seem ideal for the parents with small children, I personally prefer it will not happen in the real life due to the mentioned dangers. With the advanced technology these days, i do not think it will be impossible to earn money from home; therefore, the supporting money from the government will be just a redundant in my opinion.

(too long -418 words) -> should shorten to around 280-300 words.

It is a fact that newborn babies or toddlers are incapable of taking care of themselves; obviously, parents are what they need the most. Therefore, there is a growing concern raised by those who want to have a policy that could help parents to only focus on taking care of their children with a small financial support. This has both merits and demerits in certain ways.
