IELTS task 1: the diagram below shows the process of producing a pencil

The graph illustrates the stages of making lead pencils which students use to writing.

 

In general, the process includes a series of stages to producing a pencil but involves 3 main steps which begin with planning trees and finish with packaging products.

 

At the first stage, the farmers plant young trees in a land, after 4 months they replant the pine on the wood where the trees spend 3 years to grow up, then the pines are thinned by people. In this period. the plants grow quickly and after 14 years later they cut it down.

 

The next stage of the process is the workers thin "slats" and treat pine wood. After 60 days the staff make grooves, put black lead and glue it, then they sandwich new slat atop and hard pressed to heal, next step, the skilled employee cut, paint, sharpen and stamp the pencils. Finally, the new pencils are packaged and move to stores or supermarkets where customers buy and use it for their work.
