Question: Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?

Answer:
The innovation of technology has changed the interaction between people and led to a large number of overseas relationships people are able to make nowadays compared to the limitation of their relationships in their towns in the past. This could be considered as a benefit for the society as a whole because it would reduce the rate of unemployment.

It is undeniable that the relationships, which each individual has, have been expanded from their local places to all over the world. In other words, a thousand years ago, people could only make friends around their villages, while in the modern world, people can have relationships with foreigners thanks to the cutting-edge technology that allows them to communicate through a great distance. Skype, Gmail and Facebook are some great illustration web pages which offer convenient methods to keep in touch with people from other nations.

This development is likely a positive impact because unemployment issue would be less serious. A broad network will help job seekers and employers to reach each other more easily. To illustrate, the Sunday Times recently reported that 70% of companies approach their prospective employees through LinkedIn, a professional social network. As a result, the number of unemployed people would decrease significantly.

In conclusion, the involvement of technology has built up relationships between people in different countries, which is a favourable evolution for the unemployment problem.
