Topic: Although more and more people read news on the Internet, newspapers will remain the main source of news for the majority of people. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that in the future, newspapers are still the primary source of information in spite of the prevalence of online news. Nevertheless, I do not agree with this opinion for the following reasons.

To begin with, it is undeniable that reading news on the Internet is far more convenient these days. People now seem to be busy all day and therefore they often prefer using their smartphones or tablets to acquire information about daily events and news, instead of picking up a magazine at stores. Similarly important is that traditional newspapers, to some extent, fail to compete with online media in terms of immediate updates and coverage. For instance, a person would be informed of an incident by online websites within about several few minutes after it occurs, whereas it may be impossible for a news agency to bring those events to the today’s newspapers. As a result, many agencies, such as New York Times or ABC News, have witnessed drastic decreases in their operating profits and revenues over the past few years.

Another apparent reason, I believe, is the increase in popularity of social online networks, which now has become an indispensable part of many individuals’ lives. These modern source of news, without doubt, can provide a better way of informing as well as interacting with viewers. Taking Facebook as an example, the huge social network not only allows everyone to instantly share hot topics and stories, but also enables them to post their images and even “live stream” videos. These resources are evidently more realistic and appealing, and thus more likely to attract a numerous of viewers.

In conclusion, I am convinced that Internet-based media will replace traditional newspapers as the major source of information in the imminent future.

your sentences are not wrong but I just want to change some tenses to make them more diversified.
