Task 2: some people say the gap between the poor and the rich is becoming wider. The rich is growing richer and the poor is growing poorer. What causes lead to this situation and what measures can be taken to address the problem

It is scientifically suggested that the difference between the poor and the rich is becoming significant, along with the consensus that the rich now owns more assets while people living in indigence are more prone to be impoverished. This essay outlines the causes and then suggests some measures to tackle this situation.

Two reasons are to blame for this phenomenon, among of which the root cause is the emerging of private schools. Obviously, inasmuch as private schools are expended a vast amount of money, leading to the expensive tuition contributed by parents’ students, the students who hail from the indigent families could not initiate their aspiration to modify their current situation. Another reason is the economic incentives that the offspring would receive from their parents. Actually, the bigger the investment is, the more interest entrepreneurs could achieve, which might be an onerous task for the poor. As a result, they would not probably escape from poverty, leading the larger gap between the affluent and them.

Various approaches can be adopted to mitigate the mentioned division. Firstly, in terms of educational perspectives, it is suggested that schools provide the poor with the chance to gain access to comprehensive educational programs that would be offered free of charge. With this help, poor students could cultivate their abilities and have a brighter future. Secondly, there should be government- sponsored projects for the poor who are self- reliant to their talent. The poor post-graduates, for example, could better the farming inherited from their parents if the government assist them in investing more capital in improved tools.

In conclusion, the problems about education and economy would cause the gap between the poor and the rich in hectic modern society. However, if the government join hands in the investment on these two spheres, the needy could easily change their poor status.
