Task 2. Some parents buy their children a large number of toys to play with. What are the advantages and disadvantages for the child of having a large number of toys?

Today, some parents purchase many varity of toys for their babies as much as possible. However, having a large number of toys brings both advantages and disadvantages for the child.

On one hand, owning a wide range of things to entertain benefits the youngsters’ life. First of all, toys play an important role in relaxing. In stead of spending time on television which is not difficult to harm the children’ eyes and brain, the babies can play with toys interestingly and comfortably.Secondly, toys are one of the most effective methods to educate the young people.For example,the children who are at the age to learn speaking easily recognize some domestic objects through the toys. The more various toys the babies own, the more educational opportunities they have to learn new things. Lastly, in the modern world, there are many families which have only one child, so the baby can make relationship with the toys like his siblings or friends to feel less lonely.

On the other hand, having a large number of toys also impact negatively to children. It is obviously that children cannot maintain their current toys and always demand the new ones.In fact, the youngsters feel unsatisfied with their own toys and want the latest things more and more. It is not only waste their parents’ money, it also creat negative character such as : selfish or greedy.Moreover,the more toys the babies own, the less friends they have. Because chilren only concentrate on their toys, they reduce the time they spend with their friends. Beside, in the market,there are some toys made from hazardous meterials for children’ helth but their parents cannot identify and buy for their babies. Some researches present that these toys effect children’s mental development such as speaking ability….

To sum up, it is undeniable that playing with toys has many positive impacts. Howerver, parents have to pay more attention and lead their children to entertain in the right way .

Today/Nowadays, some parents tend to purchase as many toys for their babies as possible. However,while a large number of toys bring not only pleasure but also benefits, possessing too many might advocate negative changes in children’s attitude. (Bạn nên cố gắng nói nhiều hơn ở phần mở bài nhé)

On one hand, there are ample reasons for adults to shower children with toys. First of all, in terms of entertainment they show way more merits than television and computer. Being absorbed into television programs or computer games often does serious harm to children’ eyes and brain, whereas playing with toys develops their creativity and intelligence by allowing them to use their imagination. Accordingly, why not reducing their screen time and increase their play time by giving more and more toys?. . Secondly, toys are one of the most effective methods to educateyoungsters (or 'toys can serve an excellent educational purpose). For example, the children who are at the age of learning how to speak are able to recognize some domestic objects through the toys. The more diverse the toys are, the more exposed children can be to their surroundings. Lastly, toys are essential for infants’ spiritual life. Psychologically speaking, as for single or maybe autistic children, teddy bears, dolls or puppets are substitutes for the siblings and friends that they do not, or actually cannot have in reality. These children in other words need toys to overcome their loneliness and it is impossible to refuse their simple wish.

On the other hand, being given too many toys also impact adversely to on children’s behaviour.Obviously children are seldom content with the current toys they are having and always demand for the new ones. Indulging them with any toys they ask for only spoils them rotten, they will never learn how to treasure something they already have too much and can get more so easily.  Parents who are doing this  not only waste their own money,but also create the unwelcome character of greed in young children. Moreover, it has been proven that the more toys the babies own, the less friends they have  more selfish and unimaginative they are likely to be. An 'free-toy nursery 'experiment conducted in 1990s shows that having few toys indeed helps children to be more social and clever. Besides those, the danger of toys must not be overlooked. In the market,  loads of toys made from hazardous materials are still available. It is not unusual if some parents buy these toys for the children by mistake. Researches have presented that some of them can affect children’s mental development such as speaking ability. Therefore, parents should be careful about what they give to their infants and it is best to buy few but high quality toys.

 In conclusion (more formal) , it is undeniable that there are enormous benefits to toys: joy, creativity and learning. Howerver, this does not necessarily mean they bring no downsides. Parents thus have to pay more attention and lead let their children to entertain in the right way.
