 The bar chart illustrates information about the proportion of urban population in the world as well as five different nations among 1950, 2007 and 2030.

Overall, it can be seen that there is an upward trend in the urban population in all parts of the world between 1950 and 2030.

As is shown, it is clear that in 1950 and 2007 North America was the nation, which had the highest rate of people living in cities, with 64 percent and 79 percent respectively. Europe was being in the second position with 51 percent, however, came third in 2007 at 72 percent, while Latin American Caribbean, which stood at third position in 1950, came the second position in 2007.Both Africa and Asia had the lowest urban population rate in 1950 and 2007 which were nearly half of the World.

On the other hand, in 2030, it is expected the North Amecican will still remain in the first place , nearly 90 percent, followed by Latin America Caribean, Europe and the World, with 84 percent, 78 percent and 60 percent respectively. Besides, the rate in Africa is hoped to increase at 51 percent in 2030, and it will be familiar to the rate in Asia.

In conclusion, it can be seen that the percentage of urban population all around the world was in an upward trend, and this trend will continue rising in future.
