Should smoking be banned in public spaces? Do you agree or disagree?

It is generally debated whether smokers should be prohibited publicly. Although there are contradicting opinions towards this topic, I myself completely agree with this point of view.

Firstly, heavy smokers are seen as a threat to everyone surrounding them. Anyone exposed to smoking in a long term can be afflicted with lung cancer or respiratory diseases, especially young children whose immunity system is not yet developed. It doesn't really matter if one smokes and does no harm to the environment but the main problem lies within the fatal illnesses brought about by him or her. That is the reason why a ban should be taken into effect as soon as possible for the sake of not only the smokers but also the people nearby.

On the other hand, cigarettes butts account for a large amount of litter every year. Permitted smoking in public space also means reducing a relatively massive amount of pollution emitted into our breathing air. This seems to do the environment only good. Furthermore, the ban should come with a fine in case of law-breakers. The policy published by the government should show no mercy towards these people. Take Singapore as a typical example. If one is caught smoking in restricted areas, he or she will be made to pay a minimum of 200 Singapore dollars up to a maximum of 1000 in case convicted in court. 

in conclusion, I believe that all of the citizens will benefit from a anti-smoking policy in consideration of the smokers themselves and the environment including the nearby people.

Theo ý kiến riêng của mình thì câu đầu tiên bạn nên sửa "smokers" thành "the smoking" vì theo mình thì hành vi hút thuốc nên bị cấm hoặc hạn chế chứ không thể nói là người hút thuốc bị cấm, có khi họ là người hút thuốc nhưng khi đến nơi công cộng họ không hút thì họ đâu bị cấm, vả lại topic là smoking, tức chỉ hành vi hút thuốc.

Câu thức ba, mình nghĩ bạn nên thay "heavy somkers" thành "smoke" bởi hiếm khi người ta dùng người hút thuốc lâu năm, giống như addicted bằng từ  "heavy", vả lại theo mình thì "smoke" tức là khói thuốc thải ra từ hoạt động smoking thì mới là mối nguy hại, đe doạ, chứ người hút thuốc là mối đe doạ, nghe cứ như họ là murder hay gangster gì đó.

Thứ ba, chỗ "lung cancer or respiratory diseases" theo mình lung cancer là một loại của respiratory disease vì thế bạn không cần dùng từ "or" mà nên dùng "lung cancer and other respiratory diseases" thì bao quát hơn.

Cuối cùng, mình nghĩ "all of the citizens" nên thay bằng "people" thì hiệu quả hơn vì nó gọn, ít từ mà cũng bao hàm nghĩa của bạn, và theo mình nghĩ bạn cũng không nhằm chỉ người dân của nước nào, việt nam hay sing thì nên để people để chỉ chung cho cộng đồng thôi.
