Topic: Governments spend millions of dollars each year on their space programmes. Most recently, Mars is the focus of scientist’s attention. Some people think this money would be better spent on dealing with problems closer to home

Whether or not airspace program is a topic of controversy. Some people maintain that this program brings a huge number of benefits to human. Nonetheless, there is growing concern that it cost millions of  dollars of national budget annually.

I can understand the argument against this scientific research is that instead of investing in the universal research, the government should improve the quality of life for their citizens. This means that some the  poor in the Africa unable to access the clean water every day and as a consequence, thousands of them died every year because of using the contaminating water. More importantly, It can be argue that the government should spend the budget on improving national’s health care system. To be specific, in developed countries, majority of the poor feel they are unaffordable due to high cost Medicare.

However, apart from the concern express above airspace program could tackle the over-population concern in the earth. Many studies have made it clear that the there are approximately 9 billion people in the earth and this figure is considered to be either excessive or arguably beyond the carrying capacity of the earth. As long as we concern, we need some space to put people in the near future.

From another viewpoint, I can understand that the universal program could solve the over-used natural resources which are related to the overpopulation mentioned above. Most would agree that human has been burning natural resources, but in the reality natural resources are neither unlimited nor indefinite. For example, the oil has been increasing as a result of huge demand of oil consumption.

In Brief, after all the argument are discussed above, my view is that it is essential for the government continually conduct more airspace research due to overpopulation and overusing of natural resources issue on own planet. Despite this program is costly, it potentially enhances the living standard in the future.
