Discussing reasons and results in Task 2

Question

Topic: Nowadays, people often buy new items, use them for a short time and then replace them as fashions or technology change. Give some reasons why people behave like this and  discuss the implication  of this new pattern of behavior for our society as a whole.

                 With developing technology, many manufactures produce a wide range of goods to fulfill consumers’ demands. This sets a trend for consumers purchasing many unused items. This essay will discuss several reasons and how it impacts on daily lives.

                The main reason why consumers  buy new items is to reduce the cost. Some companies have promotional policies which encourage customers to buy consumer goods. For example,  with 30% discount when buying a fan. Besides, consumers can have a bottle of water and a schoolbag. Moreover, paying money for fixing old items is more expensive than buying a new one. For instance, a refrigerator costs $100. This is expensive. In addition, having a more function of new ones with a half of price of the old ones. Therefore, consumers would like to buy commodities which helps to increase benefit uses, regardless of their roles.

                Because of consumers were aware of their behaviors in these situations, it cause many serious problems. It is a waste of money buying minor things, so many people suffer from debts. Furthermore,  some people are interested in consuming a lot, so the ability to save money is difficult when retirement. Thus, their pension is not enough to pay for basic needs in daily. If consumers have plans to buy, they will live a happy live.

                 Due to changes in technology and manufacture, many luxuries  were easily out-of-date in the short time. Nowadays with high standard of living, consumers who need to gather information and about  a good  and then carefully make a purchase.
