The Internet has dramatically altered our lives over the past few decades. Although some of these changes have been negative, the overall effect of this technology has been positive. What are your opinions on this?

The internet has brought significant changes to our daily lives in recent years. While it remains controversial about whether the overall effects of this technology have been positive or negative, I personally believe that the benefits of the internet far out weight its drawbacks. The reasons for this are as follows.

First of all, it is an undeniable fact that the internet has revolutionized the way we communicate. In the past, people completely depended on the distance and money to exchange information with each other, which caused us countless difficulties in communication. On the contrary, thanks to the development of the internet, people nowadays can get in touch with their loved ones easily. For example, my younger brother use his cell phone installed the software like Skype or Tango to make long phone calls with his son living abroad without paying any money for these calls. It is the convenience of the internet that brings the closer relationship to people.

Equally importantly, the internet has opened an unlimited source of knowledge and information. The scientists used to spend long hours in libraries searching for the required information and knowledge for their study. However, they can do their research at home with the same information and knowledge gained from the Internet by clicking computer mouse. In addition, the internet has become the integral companion of students. They can look up the necessary information and learn foreign language easily wherever they are, even on the bus. This means that they can save a large amount of money from buying reference books and tuition fee.

In conclusion, I once again restate my position that the internet has had positive impact on our daily life because of its convenience in communication and the flow of information.
