Question

The map below shows the development of the village of Ryemouth between 1995 and present. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

These two given maps illustrate the shifts in appearance of the Ryemouth village in 1995 into the current one.

From an overall perspective, this village in 1995 was a much greener area than the latter, but over the 20-year period, it experienced a number of dramatic changes. To be more specific, the most striking transformation belonged to the farmland which was turned into the golf in the northeast of this area. Plus, the forest nearby was cut down to make the way for tennis courts. Towards the northwest of the village, a new road on the left of the main one was constructed and more houses were built up on the left of that road.

As regards the south of this region, it is clear that where were greater changes. In fact, the fishing port was destroyed. In addition, the fish market was replaced by apartments at the seaside, while the shop on the opposite side of the fish market was modified to become restaurants. Further development was the new construction of the car park nearby the hotel in the corner of the road.
